The 43rd New Hampshire Farm, Forest & Garden Expo is a hands-on, family-friendly celebration of agriculture, forestry, and land stewardship in the Granite State. Our 2026 theme, From Soil to Sawdust: How New Hampshire Makes Ag Happen, brings the full story to life — showing how New Hampshire’s natural resources are transformed into the food we eat, the tools we use, and the products that support everyday life.

Join us Friday, May 1 (9:00 am–5:00 pm) and Saturday, May 2 (9:00 am–4:00 pm) at the Deerfield Fairgrounds for two full days of live demonstrations, expert-led workshops, running machinery, barnyard animals, lumberjack shows, and free horse-drawn wagon rides. With interactive exhibits and activities designed for all ages, the Expo offers something for families, gardeners, landowners, makers, and anyone curious about how things are grown, built, and made right here in New Hampshire.

Come explore, ask questions, watch skilled professionals at work, and experience agriculture and forestry in action. Whether you’re learning something new or just enjoying a fun day out, the Expo is a chance to connect with the people and practices that keep New Hampshire thriving.

WORKSHOPS

Free with your admission!

Learn by watching, doing, and asking questions. The Expo features a full schedule of hands-on workshops and live demonstrations led by industry experts, growers, makers, and foresters from across New Hampshire. From running machinery and forestry techniques to gardening, food production, and practical skills, these sessions give attendees a chance to see real work in action and learn directly from the people who do it every day.

DARK HORSE LUMBERJACK SHOW

Watch the best lumberjacks and lumberjills in the Northeast compete against each other and the clock for 1st place in events such as axe throw, chopping, springboard, and hot saw!  This event is free for Expo attendees and fun for the whole family!

HORSE DRAWN WAGON RIDES

Step back in time with a free horse-drawn wagon ride. Families are invited to enjoy a complimentary relaxing ride around the Expo grounds behind a beautiful team of horses, offering a charming and memorable way to take in the sights and sounds of the event. This free experience is a favorite for all ages and a wonderful reminder of the traditions and working animals that continue to be part of New Hampshire’s agricultural heritage.

DEMONSTRATIONS

Watch traditional skills and modern techniques come to life through live demonstrations happening throughout the Expo. From rug braiding, wool spinning, and felting to live-edge woodcraft, sawmills, and working oxen teams, these demonstrations showcase the knowledge, tools, and traditions that shape New Hampshire’s agricultural and forestry heritage.

4-H COMPETITIONS & CLOVER CORNER

Don’t miss the 4-H Clover Corner at the NH Farm, Forest & Garden Expo.  Clover Corner is a space for families to interact with a variety of STEM agricultural-themed stations, crafts, exhibits, presentations and more.  Fun for all ages.

FARMO

Kids can learn while they explore with our FARMO game! Young visitors receive a FARMO game card and are invited to visit participating exhibitors throughout the Expo to answer a fun trivia question and earn a sticker at each stop. Once their card is complete, kids can trade it in for a prize — turning the Expo into an interactive scavenger hunt that encourages learning, discovery, and engagement with exhibitors along the way.
